Home / Gate automation

Automatic gates and barriers that work every day, and stay safe.

New installations, automation of existing gates, repairs and planned servicing for commercial sites across Kent, London and the South East. Designed around your traffic, fitted by our own engineers.

What we automate

The right gate for the site, not the one in stock.

Gate type, drive and safety devices are chosen from how many vehicles use the entrance, the space available and how the gate needs to be controlled.

Swing

Swing gates

Single or double leaf, with ram or underground operators. Suited to sites with room for the gate to open and a clear approach.

Sliding

Sliding gates

Track or cantilever designs for tight entrances, sloping ground or high-traffic sites where swing clearance isn't available.

Barriers

Automatic barriers

Fast-cycling barrier arms for car parks, yards and loading areas where quick, controlled vehicle access matters.

Bollards

Rising bollards

Retractable bollards for sites that need vehicle control without a gate across the entrance.

Existing

Automating existing gates

We assess hinges, track, structure and weight first. If the gate is sound, we fit operators and safety devices to it.

Other

Bespoke and heavy-duty

Larger or unusual entrances, including industrial gates, shutters and doors. Tell us what you have and we'll advise.

Install · repair · service

One team for the whole life of the gate.

The company that installs your gate is the one best placed to keep it running.

New installations

  • Site survey and written specification
  • Groundworks, foundations and power supply coordination
  • Operators, safety devices and controls fitted and commissioned
  • Handover with documentation and user training

Repairs and call-outs

  • Gate stuck open, stuck shut or not responding
  • Motor, control board, limit and remote faults
  • Damaged leaves, tracks, hinges and posts
  • Safety devices checked before the gate returns to use

Planned servicing

  • Scheduled inspection, lubrication and adjustment
  • Safety device and force checks
  • Written service record for your files and insurers
  • Fewer breakdowns, longer equipment life
Safety & compliance

Automatic gates are machinery. They should be treated that way.

An automated gate can cause serious injury if it isn't installed and maintained correctly. Whoever installs or takes over an automated gate takes on responsibility for its safety. We work to the recognised standards and leave you with the paperwork to show it.

  • Risk assessment for every installation
  • Safety edges, photocells and force limiting fitted where required
  • Impact force testing to BS EN 12453 and BS EN 12445 methods
  • Conformity documentation and a technical file at handover
  • Clear advice if an existing gate doesn't meet current safety expectations
Integration

Gates that work with the rest of your security.

Because we also install access control, CCTV and cabling, the gate doesn't end up as a stand-alone system someone else has to make work.

  • Audio and video intercoms, including GSM where there's no network on site
  • Keypads, fobs, cards and proximity readers with scheduled access
  • ANPR for vehicle recognition and logging
  • CCTV covering the entrance, with remote viewing
  • Remote and app control, plus loops and detectors for vehicle sensing
How it works

From survey to handover.

Site survey

We look at the entrance, ground, power, traffic and how people need to get in. We'll also check the condition of any existing gate.

Specification and quote

A clear, itemised quote covering the gate, drive, safety devices, controls and any groundworks, with no hidden extras.

Installation and commissioning

Fitted by our engineers, then tested and adjusted, including the safety checks, before it goes into use.

Handover and aftercare

Documentation, user instructions and a servicing plan, so the gate stays safe and reliable.

Maintenance contracts

Planned servicing costs less than emergency repairs.

Gates that are used every day wear out. A service plan catches worn parts before they fail and keeps a record of the checks carried out. This is useful for managing agents, facilities teams and anyone answerable to an insurer.

  • Scheduled visits set around how heavily the gate is used
  • Safety checks recorded after every visit
  • Repairs quoted before work starts
  • One contact for the gate, access control and CCTV on the same site

Common questions

Gate automation FAQ

How much does an automatic gate cost?

It depends on the gate type, size and weight, the ground and power supply, and how much access control is integrated. We survey the site and give an itemised quote, so you can see what's included before you commit.

Can you automate my existing gates?

Often, yes. We assess the gate's condition, hinges or track, structure and weight first. If it's sound, we can fit operators and safety devices to it. If it isn't, we'll tell you what needs repairing or replacing.

How often should automatic gates be serviced?

Regular servicing keeps gates safe and reliable. How often depends on the gate, how busy it is and the manufacturer's guidance. Busy commercial sites typically need more frequent visits than lightly used ones.

What happens if my gate breaks down?

Call us on 01634 715 690. We'll diagnose the fault, repair or replace the failed part, and check the safety devices before the gate goes back into use.

Can the gates link to our access control and CCTV?

Yes. Gates can work with intercoms, keypads, fobs, cards, ANPR and CCTV, so entry, vehicle access and monitoring run as one system rather than separate ones.
